Ashley Atkinson is a Dallas-based professional movement artist and educator defined by technical precision and a commanding performative presence. Her movement language is grounded in ballet, contemporary, and jazz, emphasizing visceral expression, athletic floorwork, and the intersection of physical strength and artistry.
A versatile performer, Ashley has appeared in festivals including Mind the Gap, the Oklahoma Dance Festival, and Artists for Hope. She has performed with professional and pre-professional companies such as NobleMotion2, NobleMotion Accelerate, and Bombshell Dance Project: The Shop, featured in works by Jacob Regan, Andy and Dionne Noble, Jaiquan Laurencin, and Colette Kerwick. Ashley’s artistic perspective is further informed by international study at Dance Italia, where she expanded her technical range and creative approach.
Ashley graduated summa cum laude with a BFA in Dance from Sam Houston State University. As a member of the Elliott T. Bowers Honors College and Vice President of the Chi Tau Epsilon Dance Honor Society, she balanced rigorous performance training with academic research, presenting work on the impact of dance in early childhood education at the Undergraduate Research Symposium.
As an instructor and choreographer, Ashley has developed a reputation for her leadership in the studio and her ability to engage dancers across all levels. Her choreographic works have been presented on the collegiate stage, reflecting her interest in dynamic storytelling and collaborative creation. Ashley remains dedicated to cultivating meaningful artistic experiences and inspiring the next generation of dancers through both performance and education.
