Artist Statement
I create work that builds immersive, emotionally charged worlds—spaces where audiences are invited not just to watch, but to feel and exist within the experience. Through movement, I explore the complexities of human experience, particularly themes of vulnerability, grief, and loneliness, using physically rigorous and high-intensity choreography as a means of expression.
I believe vulnerability is essential to meaningful art. It is through this openness that connection is formed and healing becomes possible—for both the artist and the audience. My work seeks to hold space for these shared human experiences, allowing emotion to live fully and unapologetically within the body.
I draw inspiration from visual art forms such as paintings, sculptures, and album covers, using them as a foundation for crafting layered, evocative environments. These influences inform not only the aesthetic of my work, but the worlds I aim to create—ones that feel textured, intentional, and deeply human.
Collaboration is central to my process. I value each dancer’s individual voice and artistic impulse, allowing their presence to shape the work from within. I strive to cultivate creative spaces where dancers feel supported, seen, and valued—not only as artists, but as people.
